Back from Verona

'Fingerpainting in Verona'

I had a great time in a great place last week.... fingerpainting in Verona, delivering a series of iPad painting workshops alongside Matthew Watkins and his exhibition 'Uncontainable Art'. We worked with 100 people over 4 workshops, during 2 days, and it was a rather splendid! Great people, great food and great wine - Super Fantastic!

Heading to Verona

Tomorrow I head off to Verona to meet with friend and fellow 'Fingerpainter" Matthew Watkins as he opens his latest exhibition at 'Museo Civico di Storia Naturale'in Verona. The  short film below forms part of the exhibition. The drawings for the film were created through collaboration on the ipad mini when Matthew and I when we met up in Manchester last month. I will be co-delivering a series of fingerpainting workshops in Verona alongside Matthew on Thursday and Friday!  Exciting stuff!

Great first day of a four day project with Rowley Lane School, drawing, drawing and more drawing, with 64 children, followed by a great staff session after school! Continuous line, mirror drawing, tonal wash, whole class collaboration, amazing! More tomorrow!!

Wentworth Castle Commission

Today was the first day of an interesting commission at Wentworth Castle, working with 3 Barnsley schools to create a temporary artwork that celebrates the restoration of the Victorian Conservatory.

Live Drawing Set for Giuliano Modarelli

Last Friday (March 1st) I had the pleasure of drawing projected live visuals at the launch of Giuliano Modarelli's beautiful album Englobed, at Rich Mix in Shoreditch, London. The evening included an exciting set by his new collective Kefaya. A review of the evening can be found here.
All of the visuals were drawn live using the iPad, and are not recorded, when they are gone they are gone, off into the ether.... which I really like! Live jamming with visuals! Images by Yvonne Roberts.
