Live Projection 'Strange Aftertaste'

The live projection of 'Strange Aftertaste' took place today in the centre of Barnsley and I loved it! The music was

pumped up so loud that it bounced off the buildings creating and eerie organic echo. The audio worked really well

with the animated doodle sketches which I created during an intense week long iPad drawing fest using the latest

version of the BRUSHES app.

Here are a few images sent to me from last Saturdays event in Ilkley at the soon to be 'Outside the Box' Cafe. I had an amazing day! The artwork worked a treat and really hooked people into the space. Great feedback, lovely people!

Here is an animated piece I created for the 'Paint the Town Red' campaign promoting the 'Alternative' as part of alcohol awareness week in Barnsley. Music by The British Expeditionary Force. Imagery and motion created on the iPad and edited in FCP X. Thanks to Hayley Youell for her enthusiasm throughout the making process.

Yesterday I worked with 30 children and Yvonne Roberts at Elsecar Heritage Centre  to make this Huge Iron Man as part of Take Over Day 2012. A bonkers full on day! Top Fun!

Animated Projection Paintings

Here are a selection of screen grabs from an animated piece I have created for a special event in Barnsley next Saturday evening, aimed at promoting the 'Alternative' as part of alcohol awareness week. I have also created the logo and a variety of designs which run across the whole campaign. This project was a real pleasure to be part of. I am Excited to see the work projected building sized!

Following a stressful time with some stubborn (non drying) epoxy resin, the ears on the Angel Rabbbot are finally dry! Yay! This character forms the centrepiece of my bird box for the ilovewestleeds project 'Home Tweet Home'. Watch this space for images of the finished box!

Prints and Pens Collaboration

Here are three new images from another bird themed collaboration with Photographer Yvonne Roberts. The process is a simple one. Yvonne prints out some of her stunning and vibrant photographic compositions on lush paper, and I then scrawl all over them. Nice!

Bird Box Complete and Shipped!

The custom bird box that I created with Jonathan Grauel (Woven Narratives) for the Put A Bird On It project is now complete and on its way to the good folks at We Make in Portland, USA. Here is the complete box, followed by a few process images. Jonathan did a great job with the quirky construction, from a design we cobbled together during a Skype video chat.
