Elsecar Inventions Week

Today saw the first day of the 'Inventions Week' commission at Elsecar Heritage Centre. What a great day. I was fortunate to have a quick tour of the site first thing, including a look at the FANTASTIC Newcomen Engine. I then had a long stint drawing and reflecting the tour of the site, followed in the late morning and afternoon by a steady stream of families, who were keen to get involved in drawing using traditional materials and my iPads. The plan for the week is to develop a series of collaborative drawings which contain inventions and contraptions, with a view to creating a series of large scale digital prints.

JUNCTION COMMISSION - LEEDS

I was recently successful in applying to be part of a group of artists, commissioned to adorn one of eleven selected junction boxes in the centre of Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK. Above are 2 of the concepts that didn't make the cut. Concept three is due to be produced and installed by the end of June. Images will be posted here on completion. Hurrah!!

Hare Paintings Help to Launch New Gallery in Edinburgh

'Huddle of Hares', (close up) one of three hare paintings I made specifically for the opening exhibition at the BON PAPILLON GALLERY in Edinburgh. It's a real pleasure to be invited to show in such a great space by such lovely people. 'Bon's Debut' has its opening launch Saturday 7th May, 2.30pm - 5.30pm, great work and a great space!
